Privacy policy

Restock Ops (“the app”) is a Shopify app operated by Beacon Wave Studio. This policy describes what the app stores when a merchant installs it, why, and how to have it removed.

What we store

• Store identity and access token. Your .myshopify.com domain and the offline access token Shopify issues to the app, used to read products, inventory and locations and to write inventory changes you confirm.
• Your purchasing documents. Suppliers and supplier notes, purchase orders and their lines, receipts, invoice status and due dates, cost history, stocktakes and their counts, reorder rules, and a log of every inventory or cost write the app made to Shopify.
• Product references. Shopify product, variant and inventory item IDs plus titles, SKUs and barcodes copied onto your documents so they stay readable if a product is later edited.
• Sales quantities. To compute sales velocity for the reorder report the app reads order line-item quantities per variant for the period you choose. It reads no customer names, addresses, emails or payment details, and stores only aggregate units sold per inventory item.

What we do not do

• We store no customer personal data.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• We do not change Shopify inventory or costs without showing you a preview and recording the change in a log you can undo from.

Where data lives

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in Helsinki, Finland (EU), encrypted in transit. Access is limited to the app operator for support and maintenance.

Retention and deletion

When you uninstall the app the access token is deleted immediately. Shopify sends a shop/redact request 48 hours after uninstall, at which point all remaining data for your store (documents, history and logs) is deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time by email.

Compliance webhooks

The app subscribes to Shopify's customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact webhooks. Because the app holds no customer personal data, the two customer topics have nothing to return or erase;shop/redact deletes the store's data as described above.
